Dr. Kannan Gireesh is a doctor by profession and an education leader by passion. A globally recognized child and adolescent psychiatrist, education thought leader, and social entrepreneur, he is the Founder & CEO of LiveLife Education, one of India’s leading organizations transforming schools & colleges into centres of life-readiness, leadership, and socio-emotional growth. In 2007, after completing his MD in Psychiatry, Dr. Kannan began his clinical practice, gaining deep insight into the mental health and developmental needs of children and adolescents. His work addressed the emotional and psychological challenges faced by youth, including academic pressure, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, stress, and suicidal tendencies. Through this experience, he observed that while students excelled academically, they often struggled in life, raising a critical question: This realization sparked his transition from doctor to educator, driven by a passion to teach mental health, life skills, and socio-emotional learning.
