Governance framework and zonal representation across Tamil Nadu

Home Organisation Structure

The management and the affairs of the Association including its funds and properties shall be vested in elected or nominated office bearers, consisting of (1) One Chairman (2) One Vice-Chairman (3) Six Zonal Presidents (4) One General Secretary (5) One Joint Secretary (6) Six Zonal Secretaries and (7) One Treasurer. The above seventeen (17) office bearers are nominated or elected by the Executive Committee from among the nominated or elected Executive members.

Organisation Hierarchy

Office bearers are elected once in three years at the General Body meeting. The current list of office bearers is attached.

Geographical Zones

The General Body shall form six (6) Zones by clubbing the districts of Tamil Nadu.

Zone I

Schools situated within Chennai Corporation and having Chennai pin code, shall be clubbed together as Zone I.

Zone II

Schools situated within the districts of Thiruvallur, Vellore, Kanchipuram, Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram and Cuddalore shall be clubbed together as Zone II.

Zone III

Schools situated within the districts of Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, Erode and Namakkal, shall be clubbed together as Zone III.

Zone IV

Schools situated within the districts of Tiruchirappalli, Karur, Pudukkottai, Thiruvarur, Thanjavur, Nagapattinam, Ariyalur and Perambalur, shall be clubbed together as Zone IV.

Zone V

Schools situated within the districts of Coimbatore, Dindigul, Tiruppur and Nilgiris, shall be clubbed together as Zone V.

Zone VI

Schools situated within the districts of Madurai, Theni, Sivagangai, Virudhunagar, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Thirunelveli and Kanniyakumari, shall be clubbed together as Zone VI.

Zone VII

Schools situated within the districts of Madurai,Virudhunagar,Sivaganga,Dindugal,Theni, shall be clubbed together as Zone VII.

Zone VIII

Schools situated within the districts of Kanyakumari,Tirunelveli,Tenkasi,Thuthukodi,Ramanathapuram, shall be clubbed together as Zone VIII.
